What is Body Massage Therapy?

Massage is one of the oldest forms of therapy and is a system of stroking, pressing and kneading in order to relax, stimulate and tone the body. Many people believe a massage to be just a pleasant sensation on the skin; however the benefits are far greater. The effects of massage are cumulative and a course of massages could help maximise physiological and psychological well being. Regular massage can strengthen and tone the soft tissues in turn making the body as a whole less prone to unnecessary strains and injuries. Blood and lymphatic circulation is increased as a result of regular massage, improving the elimination of unwanted waste throughout the body.
